Today my work was fueled by my yoga practice. In today’s class, I felt I needed grounding. I could feel my body fighting child’s pose which is supposed to be relaxing, and I find it to be restorative to the root chakra. (The chakra that deals with grounding.) I usually never have trouble with being grounded, but today I was just fighting myself. While I was breathing into the pose (which we of course happened to do more than usual), I imagined a red light and suddenly  saw this image. I knew that this would be my watercolor of the day. I left class feeling a bit more grounded and painting this watercolor really cemented that feeling.

I am here. Watercolor on paper.

I hope you enjoy today’s work and can all find a little peace and grounding (if you need it) in your Sunday.
