It might be too late for the 12 days of christmas, BUT I am painting them any way and will post one or two as my quasi-countdown towards Christmas day (the one celebrated on the new calendar, some of my family celebrates on January 6th as we are Carpatho-Rusyn Orthodox…which I mentioned last January 6th). No matter what you do or do not celebrate I think these watercolors will be fun, look forward to lots of birds. Also, I will be able to have fun with them–because my semester is pretty much over…yay!
Hope your Monday is marvelous!
Enjoy your Saturday, I know I am enjoying mine!
Three hundred already? Man, time flies!
I am a little in shock that there is only 65 days left of this lovely project…I feel sad, and happy (not going to lie, lately with all that I have to do scanning and posting daily is starting to wear me thin… the painting isn’t bad, it is just all the technological stuff that has been wearing me down.)
I also feel pressure to go out with a bang (let’s see if this actually happens…), here’s to 65 more fabulous days!
P.S. Hope your monday goes marvelously!
I really miss collaging. It used to be a great way for me to play within my artwork, a way to be less serious. I don’t even know if I would call it collage. Maybe it was more like drawing but with paper scraps. Those types of drawings were so liberating and lighthearted for me, and I never get a chance to do them anymore. I don’t like for my art to get too heavy, and that is why I embarked on this 365 day project– as an outlet for fun, pressure free, hopefully unpretentious, art-making. Anyway, I miss doing collages like these and they fall into the whole point of this project, so I think I am going to start making some again. Don’t be surprised if you see more of these paper drawings and watercolors in the upcoming weeks.
Hope you had a fabulous Friday.
