Bloom. Can you tune into the feeling of the soft blossoming open, the sweet petal breath? The ripe moment when the moon and the sun and the breeze and the ethers and water and nutrients in the soil all align, the spark of life bursting forth, then the softening of the tight bud, then the magic of the bloom. Our flower friends share the medicine of this. They know, they don’t worry about the how. We also trust this magic. We might not know exactly when, we can’t pin it down, but we trust that the flowers will bloom when they are ready. They also fade and petals clot to the earth, they decompose and continue the cycle. I pulled a card for us today. Does it resonate? WHALE MEDICINE. Whales are magical, gentle giants, calm, intuitive, and playful. They dive into the watery depths, singing & sharing their unique vibrational healing through the waters of the world.
When all seems lost, it can be easy to get caught in the heaviness, the nets of fear, and tangled in this new and ever shifting reality. Instead, whale medicine invites you to dive beneath the surface of things, receive the magic and medicine that flows there, to engage in self care and trust the ancient wisdom in your body and bones. How can you create a moment of peace today? How can you let your body know you love and trust it...and if this is new to you how can you explore or imagine love, trust, embodiment? During social distancing, know your vibration and the impact of your being is appreciated. You can still connect and vibrate your love, maybe in new ways. Do the things that make your soul sing. Come up for fresh air. Swim in the currents of divine love and nectar of the soul. Sing, vibrate, PLAY, pray, dive deep into your heart, your art, a book or learning something you haven’t had the chance to. How can you vibrate some support to your community, what does that look like for you? Maybe today you play with letting the waves of emotion wash over you, know that nothing is forever. MOOD: The divine play of destruction/creation.
In this painting whose artist I cannot find, (although it’s thought to be a Bengali school artist, found via Kala Kshetram) Kali Ma sits on lotus leaves, stringing a garland of heads in the midst of cremation grounds. Lots of symbolic magical friends linger in the fringes; hibiscus, snake, jackals, and seemingly datura.
Friends I am still digesting and uncovering these allegations against YB, trying to hear all the voices, and consider it all.
All I can say is as of now it’s time for the for the tower to fall (have you seen the tower card in the tarot?) the foundation is skewed and the building is on fire and it’s been struck by the shattering/illuminating lightening of the Aquarian age. It’s time to take patriarchy off of the pedestal. It’s time to liberate ourselves and these practices. These teachings go beyond YB.
What’s the root? What is safe and loving? What is aligned with truth and what do we know from our own hearts and intuition? The guru is inside, we are the spiritual teachers. Enough outsourcing, you won’t find the answers/fulfillment outside of self! Humanity is a gift, let’s embrace the shadow, embodiment, and earthing. What beauty can we create collectively as we liberate and listen? Where do these practices go from here? What’s helpful, and what’s harmful?
Just like the Aquarian age, Kali isn’t always subtle or gentle. But sometimes we need the juice and medicine of whirling, dancing, Shakti “destruction”, the deep clearing, to wake us up to the beauty and ecstasy of freedom and sovereignty, of coming back to the root, the source, to divine co-creation, of the juicy love that flows through our beings that is accessible in every moment, no middle man needed. Let the tower fall, I think this is just the start and will be such a beautiful clearing, coming together, and rebuilding for our community. So much complexity and so much more to think/talk about, but instead for today I will get off the internet, go into nature and BE! Love to you all!
